Erziehung von Katzen

Wunschgemäßes Verhalten kann man nur durch liebevolle, einfühlsame Behandlung und Konsequenz
in der Erziehung erreichen

Um anfangs nicht so viel Kritik an dem guten Tier üben zu müssen räumt man am besten die Problemteile (z.B. Dekoteile mit unsicherem Stand) weg.

Bitte die Zimmerpflanzen überprüfen , ob giftige dabei sind. Wenn ja bitte außer Reichweite stellen!!

Eine andere gute Möglichkeit, Dinge, die sich nicht wegräumen oder schützen lassen, wie z.B. Kabel, durch Gerüche uninteressant zu machen (z.B. Zwiebel oder Teebaumöl)

Eine Katze lernt vor allem durch Lob aber auch durch Tadel, wobei das Lob überwiegen sollte. Der Tadel muss direkt auf dem Fuße folgen, sonst kann die Katze ihn nicht mit der Tat verbinden.

Wir tadeln z.B. in Form eines klaren „Nein“, Verwendung von Zischlauten (Anfauchen) oder Anpusten.

Wirkt das nicht, erschrecken Sie Ihre Katze z. B. mit Händeklatschen, oder einem anderen unangenehmen Geräusch,(die Pantomimik der Katze verrät, ob wir etwas „Wirksames“ gewählt haben) aber besser wir tun dies mit reichlich Abstand.                                                                                                        Wassernebel aus dem Pflanzensprüher ist sicher auch wirksam, aber man muß zu nah ran an den“Tatort“.

Auch der Name der Katze sollte niemals dabei genannt werden und somit mit negativen Dingen verknüpft werden.

Den Namen der Katze nennen wir lieber beim Rufen zum Futternapf oder zum Spielen oder Streicheln.

Konsequenz ist ganz wichtig in der Erziehung, egal, ob es sich um Menschenkinder oder Tierkinder handelt.  Was heute verboten ist, darf morgen nicht erlaubt sein – das verunsichert.

Natürlich muss man in der Erziehung Willensstärke beweisen, egal, ob es sich um eine Katze oder ein Kleinkind handelt, schließlich gilt es eine gewisse Sturheit zu überwinden.

Mit der ungezogenen Katze oder dem ungezogenen Kleinkind darf man kein Mitleid haben,das spüren sie schnell und würden es schamlos ausnutzen.

Das Vertrauen erlangen Sie nur, wenn Sie niemals aggressiv mit der Katze sprechen oder sie gar anbrüllen oder schlagen. Das würde sofort das gewonnene Vertrauen erschüttern.

Natürlich folgt eine Katze nicht blind gehorsam unseren Erziehungsregeln.

Wenn sie das tut, dann als Belohnung für uns Menschen für gute und einfühlsame Behandlung und wir danken für ihr Verhalten mit Lob (beim ersten Mal gern etwas überschwenglich loben), Streicheleinheiten,  gemeinsames Spielen oder auch Leckerlies.

Schleichen sich Unarten ein, so kontrollieren Sie zuerst, ob sich irgendwelche Lebensumstände verändert haben. Machen Sie die Katze behutsam damit vertraut und widmen Sie ihr viel Aufmerksamkeit.

Refrain from reprimanding the pet too often. Remove decorative or breakable objects from your flat.

Please check your plants. If you have poisonous ones, bring them out of reach.

Objects that you want to protect form the kitten or those that you can’t move away (i.e. electric lines) should be rubbed with an onion or tea-tree oil.

A cat learns by praise and reproof, whereby acclamation should prevail. Reproof should immediately follow on the incident, otherwise the animal cannot associate it with its undoing. When we say no to a pet, we mean no. Sometimes we blow on the cat’s face or hiss at it to make sure she/he notices  what it is not allowed to do.

If these methods have no effect, try to give your cat a lesson by clapping loudly or make another annoying noise. It also helps to wet the cat. Sprinkle a few drops of water onto its face. The pantomime of the animal will tell you if you were successful or not. But whatever you do, make sure to leave a good distance between you and your pet.

When scolding your cat  please do not mention your cat’s name. Otherwise you link the name with bad experiences. Call your cat by its name when you fondle it, play together or call her for the meals.

Consistency in education is very important, regardless if children or animals are involved. What is once forbidden, should not be indulged the very next day, otherwise your pet gets confused. Train the cat with a strong will, it is your aim to minimize the kitten’s stubbornness. Do not show pity when your pet has been mischievous and you have just punished it. Otherwise they take advantage of it.

Never speak to your kitten in an aggressive tone and do not slap it. This shatters the trust between you and your pet. It’s natural that an animal does not always follow our instructions. If it does, then it awards us human beings for our good and sensitive attendance. Don’t forget to praise your pet and reward the cat by giving a snack, extra strokes or playing more exceedingly.

If the kitten disobeys anew after a  time, check on changes in your daily routine. They could be the reason for this. Help your pet to adjust to transformations and give her all your attention.
